Kim, Myself & Melissa of “The Eyes Of A Boy“
I’d been looking forward to Tutti Bambini’s Miami Ultimate Baby Affair since meeting the gorgeous team at Mothers Of All Baby Showers a few months ago. The anticipation only intensified when I was asked to be a panel moderator. I’d never done anything like that before, but as I mentioned in previous posts – I’m in my grown woman phase of life. If it scares me, I’m doing it! Anyhoo, I arrived prior to the start of the event so that I could familiarize myself with my topic and the speakers. Not before long it was time for the event to start, so my cousin and I made our way out to the main room. I also got a chance to finally meet fellow mommy and blogger Melissa of The Eyes of A Boy. Just as I was running out to meet up with her, I noticed both Bill Rancic and Jenny McCarthy leaving the red carpet. I didn’t get a chance to meet them personally but I will say that Bill is sooooooo handsome (and shockingly tall) and Jenny McCarthy looked beautiful. From what I hear they were both very nice people.
The room was filled with dozens of vendors and coolest baby gear I’ve ever seen! I mean…I need to step up my stroller game! Holy crap! There were so many cool things that I need to stock up on, especially the Mixie Baby Bottles. It’s seriously a God-send if you baby is formula fed. Genius I tell you!
…there was also the guy who was explaining car seats to us, but I can’t remember the name of the company because he was so…beautiful. Seriously, his eyebrows were perfect, his hair was everything, he had THE most rosy cheeks I’d ever seen - we couldn’t get over it. I think at one point Kim asked him to be her sperm donor so that her future children can have better eyebrows! The conversation went left rather quickly, so we decided to take our antics elsewhere before things got even more awkward! Sorry sir!
Soon it was time to hit The Speakers Room for the three panels. I was in charge of panel #2 “The ABC’s of Prenatal Care” with experts Dr. Tessie Larriu, Maggie Rezende (lactation specialist), Dr. Maria Forrest, Dr. Roger Stoudt and Alexandra Lopez of Viacord. We chatted about everything from breastfeeding and cord banking, in addition to the controversy of epidurals. I learned a lot myself and even got some my own questions answered. Alexandra really opened my eyes to cord banking! It’s something I’ll definitely want to do whenever we decide to have another baby. We had a very interactive 30 minutes or so. I had a blast serving as panel moderator! It was such a great experience stepping out of my comfort zone.
After my panel, we went to check out the incredible fashion show which featured fashion for the entire family (see thumbnails below). There was also a daddy’s lounge for the guys to enjoy Sunday football.
I also ran into Karent Sierra who was incredibly sweet and gave me the biggest hug ever! A former member of The Real Housewives of Miami, Karent is a dentist and founder of the non-profit “Sharing Smiles Foundation”. Through this organization she’s able to offer dentistry services to the less fortunate. She’s certainly in the right business – she has the most gorgeous smile and a warm personality. I had such a fun day at The Coral Gables Country Club with The Tutti Bambini Family. I’m so happy to have met these ladies! It was apparent that this a very tight knit crew, you could feel the love! I can’t thank them enough for inviting me and the gift bags were jam packed !!! Kim and I also spent lots of time hanging out with Janelle who won the premium ticket giveaway.
Lourdes, you and your team did a phenomenal job! This is only the beginning and I’m excited to see this annual event grow as the year goes by. Congratulations on the success of such a helpful and informative company!
